About
Carl Robertson calls himself the unknown ole-school poet, writing a variety of poems (religious, cultural, romantic, humorous, etc.), some of which are included within his recently released (July 2021) book of poetry “Titans of Corruption and Other Poems,” which states: “This book is dedicated to my brothers and sisters of all races, victimized by the greed and bigotries of those in power within this nation.” Robertson’s purpose for writing poetry and other related kind of blogs, are to try and inspire those with an open mind, as well as those who also care; into seeing that the difficulties and bigotries of this world are caused (through division) by only a few who are powerful with wealth and influence.
Although such poems like “Reflections,” (now written within the Robertson’s Book of Poetry, Volume 1, “Titans of Corruption and Other Poems”) were transcribed as far back as the year 1974; much of the same types of prejudices and injustices which occurred over some forty-seven years ago, are still plaguing many of America’s businesses, economic, educational, governmental, legal, and political institutions today. When one man or woman freedoms are taken from them unjustly; every other man or woman who sees, and stands by and says nothing has doomed themselves to one day (possibly) facing the same type of fate.
